When Words Fail... Music Speaks...
Isaac Monts is an Artist, Musician, Producer, & Music Educator based out of Hartford, Connecticut. He began playing the drums at the age of 2 with inspiration coming from music his mother would play around the house. Artists like Anita Baker, Earth Wind and Fire, Fred Hammond and Kirk Franklin shaped Isaac's appreciation and love for music for years to come. Every Sunday, he would watch the musicians play during church, anticipating his moment to play once service was over. It was within the church that Isaac's gift was realized.
During Isaac's time at Southington High School, he participated in just about every music ensemble including the marching band, concert band, and the jazz ensemble. He gives credit to his experience's in the marching band drum line for getting him where he is today as a professional drummer. His involvement in the high school Jazz ensemble sparked an interest in playing authentic jazz music and inspired him to learn more. Isaac now has a B.A. in Music Performance with a focus on Jazz Studies from Central Connecticut State University - New Britain, CT.
Isaac is currently a well-experienced music director, drummer, producer, and teacher. Isaac has worked with various groups and artists including: Color Fields, Todd Galbreth, Ricky Dillard, Dathan Thigpen, Shane Davis, Kymberli Joye, Billy Powell & 1Church, PXRRY, Brittney Crush, Ace Livingston, Klokwize, Brodie Fresh, The Noah Baerman Trio, The Larry Gareau Trio, Rich Goldstein and more.
